Carla has been working in libraries for over ten years. She received her Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in 2004, graduating with the University's first Nevada Cohort. Her hobbies include reading, writing, playing video games, and, of course, watching lots of anime. She is also a major Disney fanatic and Star Wars junkie, and loves it when a plan comes together. Andrew Kaplan - Contributing Editor
Andrew Kaplan has been a professional librarian for five years, focusing on children's and young adult services. He received his Masters in Information Resources and Library Science from the University of Arizona in 2001. The first anime he remembers watching was Battle of the Planets, but Robotech was the first one to make an impact. (Although he really preferred Captain Harlock.) You can reach him at andrew@animeforlibraries.com.
Mario Aguilar - Contributing Editor
Mario has worked in libraries for nearly three years, primarily in children’s services. During this time he has spread his love of anime by setting up library anime clubs and by having regular anime showings. Mario recently received his Master's in Library and Information Science with a graduate certificate in Youth Services from the University of North Texas. His favorite anime films are those involving samurai, which, of course, are abundant. Personal favorite: Ninja Scroll. Mario can be reached at mario@animeforlibraries.com.
Kristy has been an anime fan for over ten years. First introduced to anime by watching Akira, she continues to enjoy all types of anime. She has recently received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas with a Graduate Certificate in Youth Services as part of the second Nevada Cohort. You can usually find her reading some type of Shojo manga, playing Yu-gi-oh! TCG, judging local TCG tournaments or discussing how Harry Potter is not as mature as Artemis Fowl.
Carolyn has worked in libraries since 1996 and received her Masters in Information and Library Science from the University of South Carolina in 2006 as part of its first Virginia cohort. She collects movies (everything from B-movies to educational films), creates artist's books, likes to get dirty in the garden, and has been known to sew a costume or two. And you can pry her model of the Yamato out of her cold, dead hands.
